Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization that lends to qualifying families who are required to work 100 “sweat equity” hours during construction of their home, along with volunteers working under trained supervision. The Capital City Master Gardeners help new homeowners by giving input on landscape design for a low maintenance yard and assist with training on plant identification and requirements and how to maintain their new landscape. The house on the left was our most recent project, dedicated just before Thanksgiving of 2012.
