Food U Event
An excellent event was held on April 28 at the state-of-the-art Rane Culinary School, a collaboration of Auburn University School of Agriculture Horticulture Department and the Horst Schulz School of Hospitality Management. Jack Maruna, AU Food U coordinator, Chef Antony Osborne, and in-resident chefs offered a superb cooking class utilizing participants harvested vegetables, herbs, and edible flowers from the rooftop garden.
A multi course meal was served in 1856 Culinary Residence featuring Carrot & Ginger Soup, Ensalada (Filipino Salad), Chicken Soto, and an entree choice of Bakos Ayam (Balinese Chicken Meatball) or Shrimp Tikka Masala with Basmati Rice, Confit Tomato, Candied Pecan, and beautiful Dadar Gulung (coconut filled pastry) for dessert. It was an inspiring, fun, educational, and delicious experience! We look forward to annual events in various seasons for the future!
